“In November 2025, Episcopal Diocese of Texas Bishop Andy Doyle together with Interfaith Leaders across Texas issued a moral call to feed the people today in response to a federal SNAP interruption. During the same time, local food ministry leaders across Texas noticed changes in the number of people coming to receive food and reductions in the amount and quality of the food they were receiving from food banks. Squeezed at both ends, this group of food ministry leaders wondered what was going on.”
